More fun adventures on the B Line:
Two MBTA trolley cars stuck at a busy Brighton intersection since a derailment early this morning will likely remain there through the morning rush hour as the T works to get the trains off the tracks.
No one was injured when the outbound Green Line B Branch trolley jumped the aboveground tracks at approximately 1:30 a.m., struck a utility pole and ripped wires down sparking a fire at the intersection of Commonwealth and Chestnut Hill avenues. The roughly 30 passengers were evacuated. The fire caused significant damage to the train.
MBTA spokeswoman Lydia Rivera said it's unclear if the two trolley cars will be moved by the afternoon rush hour. The trolley cars will remain through the morning commute, she said.
"They are in the process of working to remove (them)," Rivera said.
She said T officials are investigating what caused the derailment.
About 15 buses are being used this morning to shuttle passengers between Boston College and Babcock Street.
Except that they shuttled us to Kenmore, not Babcock, because trains can't turn around at Babcock. Even the MBTA's site has this error.
